Director of Marketing

About the Role:

Energize Marketing is seeking a senior marketing leader with a strong foundation in digital strategy, demand generation, and B2B growth marketing. We’re looking for someone who can drive impact and play a pivotal role in our continued momentum. 

 

You’ll lead company-wide marketing initiatives across Energize Marketing and our owned network of brands—TechChannels, TechTalks, TechResources, TechStudio, and TechEvents. From refining brand positioning and launching initiatives to scaling thought leadership and sales enablement, you’ll help lead our next phase of expansion. 

 

This is our first senior marketing hire, and while members of our team have strong marketing experience, we’re looking for a dedicated leader to build and own the function. As a growing team of fewer than 20, we value creativity, resourcefulness, and a bias toward action. You’ll have a unique opportunity to shape the marketing function from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

Drive Corporate Brand Strategy

●    Own Energize Marketing’s positioning, messaging, and visual identity.

●    Enhance visibility through blogs, newsletters, social content, PR, and industry awards.

●    Manage the company website, marketing calendar, and executive thought leadership.

●    Represent the brand at conferences, media opportunities, and industry events.

●    Build out analytics to measure success.

Accelerate Growth Across Our Digital Brands and Products 

●    Lead go-to-market strategy for our portfolio—TechChannels, TechTalks, TechResources, TechStudio, and TechEvents.

●    Scale energizeDB, our database, by driving audience development and engagement through strategic content, newsletter products, email marketing, and lead generation initiatives.

●    Launch and promote new content formats, including webinars, research, and virtual events.

●    Collaborate with content, development, design, and operations teams to maximize reach and performance.

●    Contribute to the development and promotion of new products and capabilities across our solutions.


Support Sales Enablement and Cross-Department Impact 

●    Partner with Sales to develop collateral, messaging, and campaigns that drive pipeline growth.

●    Collaborate with Customer Success and Operations teams to strengthen customer programs and drive ongoing value.

●    Translate customer and market insights into new marketing programs and packaged offerings.

 

Who You Are:

●    A B2B marketing operator, not just a strategist.

You’ve spent 8+ years in the trenches of B2B marketing and know how to turn plans into results.

●    A proven marketing leader.

You’ve held a senior role for 5+ years and led programs spanning brand, demand gen, and ABM.

●    Fluent in tech markets.

You bring experience in IT, cybersecurity, fintech, martech, or B2B media—and you understand their buyers.

●    Built for high-growth and fast-paced.

You thrive in scrappy, collaborative teams and know how to move with speed and intention.

●    A HubSpot power user (or close to it).

You’re hands-on with marketing automation and CRM workflows that convert.

●    Confident with email and nurture strategy.

You’ve built sequences, managed lists, and optimized for engagement.

●    Curious about what’s next.

You embrace AI, experiment with new tools, and bring fresh thinking to the table.

●    Confident using modern marketing platforms.

You know your way around HubSpot, Wix, or WordPress to publish content, build pages, and optimize performance.

●    A natural collaborator.

You’ve worked cross-functionally with sales, editorial, ops, and leadership to hit shared goals.

●    You measure success in pipeline and growth.

Marketing should drive business outcomes, not just vanity metrics—and you operate with that mindset.

●    Bonus points:

Experience with ABM, content syndication, or working with B2B tech brands is a big plus.
